After a complete career change about 20+ years ago I joined the pharma industry working part time as a GP rep promoting a PPI and, interestingly, Benecol, with its anti cholesterol properties.  As children grew and became increasingly independent I was able to put more time and effort into my pharma career and joined Ferring back in 1999 and after an initial period promoting desmopressin to GPS and enuresis clinics, I joined the fertility team and never looked back.

Hard work and a love of what I did then saw my career progress, still with Ferring, and I took a job as Product Manager working on an HRT portfolio and a testosterone gel.  My heart lay however in sales and coaching and I was lucky (some may call it luck!) to be able to take up a role in management with a sales team.  The sales teams were promoting both gastro and urology products within a secondary care setting, working not only with secondary care clinicians but also CCGs and commissioners, enabling access to life enhancing products.

After a few enjoyable years in this role I was very fortunate to be able to return to my first love, fertility and, in my role as National Sales Manager, worked with a fabulous team of people and became true partners with our customers and forged both business and life time personal contacts. The opportunity of retirement came in November 2019 and, although probably a few years too early for me, it was too good to pass by and I thought I would be able to spend more time following my interests and spending time with children and, by now, grandchildren. My golf had started to improve with regular playing and hopefully this will continue, however my love for the industry and working to enable access to life enhancing and changing products and working to find solutions has not gone away. With this in mind I look forward to an exciting new chapter working with Steve and Mel in the future.
